That is so insane.
5:04 LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO those gestures kille me 🤣🤣🤣
YeetedNDeleted on my personal account here doing the hard thing aka riding the yamaha will make you better
I have a problem with my fingers going numb and I noticed if I roll my shoulders back and loosen my grip it goes away.. form is everything.. I have learned so much from Aj just from listening to his videos..
Great content! Would love to hear a little more dealing with the business aspect, and steps you would do differently. What role do you hire first, how many task do you outsource, where did you find an editor?
yep. Agree 100%
Terrible nickname for Travis lol
Just look at the injuries ,a lot more of them happens in supercross
If i cant smell the gas i dont want it
Bro this guy rides bikes for a living and thinks hockey is easy? Your job is the adult version of rolling around the block on a bicycle, I guarantee as someone who has never played hockey professionally I’d put him on his ass in 10 seconds on the ice.
Yeah what a surprise you dont know anything you dont know about, idi*t. Who would say no to the most skilled sport in the world.
Great tips 👌 wish I watched this before I rode yesterday!
100%
Boy, this is not aging well on especially your evaluation of talent, character and heart, although Julien is doing well... You guys really should do minimal research. Also, Beaumer was into Jet Skis and was a world champion and the way the story was being made was that he came to moto from that sport and was never into moto, when in fact, he had been racing moto at a high level at Loretta's, for as long or longer than even Haiden.
I personally think tp199 wanted to continue motocross and supercross he would have been one of the best
Kailub Russell Is the goat in the wood and he got smoked on the track.. the pace in moto is way different.. yes bike skills are obtained from riding a lot but two different aspects on the top level
AJ coming in hot with the best MX info as usual 😅👌
Woods riding, especially in New England definitely helps you balance, body positioning, maintaining traction and momentum, but it doesn’t help you with speed. MX rewards the aggressive rider whereas throttle control, balancing between a graceful pace and aggressive riding - when the terrain allows for it - is the key to off road success. Look at all the A class woods riders WHEN they are in the woods. They are smooth like silk, they are not aggressive on the throttle until they’re in grass section. This style of riding doesn’t work for winning a MX race unless the track is under water, even then it might not be enough to win. Time spent riding the bike is always the best teacher. You need to be comfortable on the bike, in all different kinds of terrain. It’ll make you better rider. Maybe not faster, but definitely better.
love your vids. and subscribed for a while now. slow c mx rider. My problem is that I am always standing up on a jump face. This works fine with a long run up but when coming out of a corner I feel that me standing up throws my balance off and most importantly I think I am rolling off throttle by the movement of body and arm/hand position which always leads me to come up short, and disappointed. any tips on how and when to sit? not seat bounce...just sit. what faces? what steepness or length of faces? thanks!
As a C/D class rider, I find that sitting up the face of a jump helps increase the length you can jump. So if you're not carrying enough speed as you approach a jump, you can sit on your way up to get a little extra distance you otherwise wouldn't. I find myself having to use this technique on jumps that don't have a long enough run-up out of a corner because I'm usually not carrying enough speed through the corners. If you have enough track speed, you're not gonna want to sit, or you'll likely over jump. Also, be sure you're standing when you land, or you'll have a sore lower back 😅
I’m like 💯 certain that’s seat bouncing my man!
Agree, Laurence brothers spent a lot of time in the bush, creates a different set of skills and makes u a lot more reactive to the unexpected
This was a fun listen! Completely agree with everything too!
I get that when I do a lot of pull-ups.
Thats from death gripping the bars. It happened to me until i figured it out
If you've ever wondered the answer to this question just take a look at AP's career. All day. Bike time translates, it wont give you every skill you need but it 100 percent will help you, moto in a lot of ways is easier, just more consequence because of the speed. Talk to someone who can coach and youll be flyin around a track before you know it.
I've got 650 acres avaliable for your DREAM TRACK that could work for KIDS of all ages
Been waiting for this vid for a long time… Such a confusing topic because if the wind is blowing the wheels out from under, you’d think you need to counter act it by whipping the wheels (bottom side of bike) back INTO the wind to “cancel” it out. Your answer gives us what we want but man I wish I could make it make sense haha
I'd say open, flowing trails sure. But in insanely tight and technical terrain, probably not. Gncc guys moto a ton and it carries over very well. The hard enduro guys are often going 5-10mph, dabbing their feet through rocks, have their legs wide open and nuts on the tank and back rounded to balance and get traction up a steep hill, etc. Also pivoting around trees requires a lot of back brake through the day. Not all woods riding is created equal. It took me several years of working on mx technique to at least look like I can ride decent lol my first 20+ years riding were in creek beds and on the side of cliffs. Lot different!
But the basic techniques are the same, basically the new gen moto guys are copying the hard enduro (from trials) crowd. So it won't teach you ruts and jumps, but the stand up style, knees over pegs, bent arms, lead with the head etc... gets you the fundamentals at least. And the cross country guys introduce the hybrid sitting technique for energy saving. So at least it gets good habits going for the track.
Balance and body position are key in enduro and they’re key in moto. It translates. Even trials there are skills that translate to moto.
Ever come to Atlantic Canada Aj? im about to subscribe to your app wondering if ill have benefits of having the APP being where i am located . cheers
I used to get that when I was racing
Rocky Hill, 2007, Saturday morning around 10-11am. Just the best ruts you’ve ever ridden
I have absolutely that hand issue. It typically is my throttle hands. I pull my fingers straight and they whip right back to my palms. I haven't found any one talking about it. I don't feel like I get arm pump. I would really like to know what it is. Thanks
I don't have that problem as serious but I'll try the plate work out as well
Deegan is the best rider out there.
What about a 2 stroke A man’s bike Rode a YZ450 4 laps on a demo day So east so easy Talk about a man’s bike when you need to be Al over it every weekend
Yes i have had the same many times, a good workout is to take 2, 45 lb plates, one in each hand and walk as far as you can while holding them, it will happen when doing this too but you will get stronger
There are people that don't ride with their fingers on the controls all the time? That's weird to me.
Carpal tunnel syndrome.
People see in you much of how they see themsleves, aspire to be and don't want to be. Net result: stop worrying about what other people "think."
Everyone starts out in the learning/hungry mindset. At some point they think they are where thy need to be and get satisfied. Once you are satisfied with what you have, it seems hard to regain that old mindset. The Lawrence’s and Deegan’s have people close to them that they trust and believe in to help keep them in that hungry mindset.
Not sure why ive never been recommended this channel.
Now that they got rid of whoops and dragon backs its not even a conversation
old e-town track N.J.
A good therapist can help with that. For some of us its hard to accurately asses how we're "coming off" to others. Am I being pushy, overbearing, intense, closed off?...etc
sooo basically you don't want ur kids to go to Loretta's and win? because the guys who actually won gets rides! u didn't win so you wouldn't know. 2nd and 3rd don't count. look at all the other guy's u mentioned and where they are... just because ur career didn't go like u wished don't tell these kids Loretta's doesn't matter because it does if ur good enough to actually WIN aka 1rst place...
Best information on the internet 👌
Just was with Coach Mitchell at Deer Creek and he was awesome.
Great answer about lean angle in ruts. if you’ve ever ridden the street bike. It becomes very evident when you steal, steal with the handlebars the bike counter stairs tries, leaning the opposite way you steer that’s what’s going on in the ruts when you’re steering with the handlebars.
This video didn’t age well lmao
Pulp is better
Don’t think the Fox has near the support or the durability. They feel good for a reason. There was a boot shoot out done recently. Yes, the Tech 10’s are more expensive
